My dropshipping venture was a bust. I ended up not making enough sales. However, the experience taught me a lot. In this post I’ll tell you why my dropshipping venture went bust and how you can change your strategy.

Unfortunately for me, dropshipping ended up being a bust. I ended up with about 4 sales in about 6 months. This was pretty bad and it came out to be about $100 profit off those 4 sales. This was not the big moneymaker I was hoping it to be. This is why it busted.

It came down to one reason that I could think of. This reason was NOT ENOUGH SEARCH VOLUME.

I ended up actually as the #1 search for my product on Google (hovered around 1 or 2), however, it didn’t convert because there were not enough people searching. At my peak, I was getting only about 20 visits to the site per day. After a while I also dropped Adwords and Banner Ads because they didn’t convert.

So my tip for you guys is to find a product to dropship that is at medium demand. If it’s in too low demand you’re not going to have enough buyers. If there’s too much demand, then most likely for the beginning internet marketer, it’s going to be impossible to get a good ranking in Google.

So this is something that I’m going to be taking into consideration for the future and for anymore dropshipping ventures for me to start.
