While I agreed with the article, I think it definitely depends on what college you go to. At colleges where greek life is more prominent (ex. Big 10 schools), it’s more important to join a frat/sorority, as they have exclusive parties, formals, etc. At smaller schools, or schools where greek life is more laid back, it’s not as important.

My frat costs 2k per semester but its fcking awesome. Met so many cool guys and chicks. Definitely say that frats are worth it.

Dues at my frat are a manageable 650/semester. Definitely learn more about frats and sororities before you join!

Hazing is a terrible thing. Most good frats will haze and this is a real problem. The stuff you see about hazing in media, a lot of it is true.

Hazing depends on the frat, a lot of frats do haze, but a lot don’t. You should check the university’s frat bans and such to find out.
