With the Fall 2010 semester coming closer as the summer ends, we can expect to see some major parties being thrown to kickoff an epic school year. Although education should be your primary focus when choosing the campus for your college career, many incoming freshman want to have a lot of fun when they arrive their first year of college. For this reason we compiled a list of the top 5 party schools in 2010 despite the possible disagreement of concerned parents.
#1 University of Texas at Austin

Despite their football team’s loss at the national championship game, the Longhorns are still winners in our book. How can you not choose UT Austin as number one when you take into consideration the primo weather, their liberal atmosphere, South by Southwest, their extreme school spirit come game day, and their nightlife on Sixth Street. Let’s face it, everything’s bigger in Texas, and so are their parties.
#2 West Virginia University

When tailgating at their women’s soccer games beats out tailgating in general at most other schools, you know you have a true party school. Making The Princeton Review’s annual list of top 20 party schools several times, you can always trust Morgantown to be rowdy and alcohol-laden.
#3 University of Miami, Florida

With Lebron James and Chris Bosh joining Dwayne Wade in Miami for their NBA super team, you can expect to see the campus of University of Miami get super crazy despite the lack of affiliation to the school. With their beautiful warm weather causing the clothes to come off, you will find that things get pretty interesting on their campus.
#4 University of Wisconsin, Madison

Playboy names this the best beer-drinking school in the country, and if any company knows their parties, you can trust Playboy to be on top of their facts! Being a strong research institution, yet making this list, you know the students know how to work hard and play hard.
#5 University of California Santa Barbara

Come Halloween season, you will witness one of the most epic costume parties ever as students crowd the street of Del Playa. There’s never a quiet moment on that street come to think of it. As the heart of UCSB’s off-campus social life, you can enjoy the great view of the ocean, excellent weather, and loud parties throughout the year.
